Who are we?
T.R.U.T.H., a.k.a. “Teens Reaching Up To Heaven”
What is our purpose?
1) To educate and empower our youth to live a spirit filled life that brings glory to God. Our youth are taught who they are in Christ based upon biblical example. This is so that a) they come to an understanding of the awesome power they have in Christ, and b) they come to know the responsibility and benefits of being a child of the Most High God.
2) Our youth are encouraged to be active Christians by serving God through evangelism outreach, short term missions and various other local projects, i.e. Elijah's Promise, Feed the Children, Franklin Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity. We believe that no matter their age, Christ’s commandment for Christians to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15) still holds true for every believer.
3) Ultimately, it is our goal to “Train up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old, he shall not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) Through spiritual education, relational fellowship, and Christian love, our youth do not just learn about Christ, they witness and experience the tangible love of Christ. They begin to recognize that being a Christian is not about religion. Rather, it is about relationship with Christ our Savior, the Holy Spirit our comforter and guide, and in all, God the Father.
T.R.U.T.H meets every Sunday 5:30pm at CBC.
